Our KG classrooms are spacious, well-organized, fully equipped with closets, bean-shaped tables, comfortable chairs with desks well arranged or the utility during small group instructions, white boards, shelves for a variety of manipulative, projectors (multimedia), bulletin boards, a supply of stationary for students and projectors (multimedia).

2. PYP Classrooms

IB Education at R.I.S

The aim of all IB programs is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet help to create a better and more peaceful world. Informed by these values, an IB education:

• Centers on learners

• develops effective approaches to teaching and learning

• Works within global contexts

• explores significant content. Working together, these four

characteristics define an IB education.

3.Classroom Libraries as a Knowledge service :

A Classroom Library Is a First Step in Enticing Students to Read. Building independent reading time into the classroom can be very beneficial for students. Our KG Classrooms are facilitated with classroom libraries with variety of books of different genres to help students build independent reading habits.


4. Classroom Management Tool - Service :

Teachers at RIS will begin using CLASS DOJO, digital classroom management tool for better learning environment in the classes. Class Dojo is a free, web-based tool designed to help teachers improve student behavior in their classrooms quickly and easily. It instantly reinforces good behavior by allowing teachers to easily award feedback points for behavior in class in real-time with the click of a smart phone, interactive whiteboard or computer. It captures and generates data on student behavior so that teachers can share reports with parents and administrators. Teachers will provide parents with an access code to follow up with their child‘s behavior, and performance report that will be recorded by the teachers on the website. 5. Communication Log

To reinforce good behavior, teachers will record the behavior and performance of the student in the Communication Log. These communication logs will be sent home to parents every Thursday and parents have to sign and return it back to the teacher on Sunday.



6. Building Leaders….Building Personality

With an objective of building Leadership personality in every student besides the academic growth, we are In a Way of Building Leaders educating the whole child by creating LEADERS. ―Little Leaders‖ presented during the morning assembly to develop students‘ positive choices having them understand the positive behaviors and ethical values making them as habits. Together, we have the ability to make a tremendous impact on our children. We need to model timeless principles and uncover the unique gifts and talents in our children through our guidance, excitement and inspiration to have our children continue their journey to personal greatness. We will have a home log where parents will record the activities or the behavior of the child every day and send to his / her teacher on every Sunday. Life skills will be graded based on this at the end of the academic year. To name a few some of the activities are mentioned in the home log. These activities will help them learn practical character and life skills that will lead to those positive choices.

7. Digital Learning:


Digital Learning technologies can enable students to grasp concepts more quickly and fully, to connect theory and application more adeptly, and to engage in learning more readily. To enhance learning, digital tools will be used in the classrooms during the instructional process and students will get to access these digital tools.

8. Arts Room:


Our KG Arts Room is well supplied with tools and materials for the activities that focus on the development of Gross and Fine motor skills of our Early learners.

Our KG section is provided with a well-equipped Science Experimenting room- Discovery Corner, well designed for our little scientists for their discoveries, inventions
